Can COVID-19 Vaccination be Compulsory in Turkey?
Assoc. Prof. Olgun Akbulut
The COVID-19 pandemic that emerged in Wuhan, China in December 2019 continues to spread globally. Although certain “normalization” steps have been taken as of May 2020 in Turkey as well as several other countries, the debate around a possible “second wave” is still prevalent and many countries have already decided to keep implementing certain measures against the pandemic till a vaccine is developed against the virus. This policy note aims at evaluating the implementation of the vaccine in Turkey from a legal perspective and propose solution for legal loopholes.
